Stamps Ahead

 I am a guest designer over at White with 1 challenges this month.  Here is my layout: The challenge was to use white with Lilac Lullaby colour and to use at least one of the following from the moodboard.  My first thought - oh no! Not a colour I usually use! I firstly sprayed my paper with Distress Oxide Ink sprays - Shaded Lilac and Wilted Violet.  I also sprayed cheesecloth, paper flowers and cotton thread with a mixture of the sprays and allowed them to dry. The photo is of my niece at age 4 (she is now a mother of a 3 1/2year old) playing with her dolls. This challenge made we wonder what her dreams were at that age. I recently got the Kaszazz Dreamcatcher die and stamp combination (KSK7300) and it seemed just right for this layout. Other Kaszazz products I have used are papers from the Nature Lover collection, Pearls Sticky Gems, Archival stamp inks, laces and ribbon and the Crafters Companion Dream die. Each month Kaszazz has a challenge for its consultants - the April challenge was to use the Feathers metal embellishments. I was overjoyed when I was asked to submit my entry for possible publication onto the Kaszazz website...imagine my excitement that it was published yesterday. Each month Kaszazz hold a challenge for their consultants (scrapbook, cards, off the page, etc are all considered), with the opportunity for the submission to be selected for including on their website.   The challenge this month was to use Embellishment - Feathers (6).   Here is what I have created: As you can see I have used 3 of Feather embellishments - you get 6 of the Feathers - 2 each of each design. For the background I have used Distress Oxide Inks - Wilted Violet and Peeled Paint.  I have used the stamp and die combo -Tribal Feathers.   The papers are from Kaszazz collection Nature Lover.  I finished of with Sticky Gems - Pearls around the wreath I created.  This is quick to put together layout. The photo is of my great-nephew and I - he was just 9 months here and will shortly be celebrating his 3rd birthday.  Thank you for looking, Margaret

 These are the 2 cards my class will be making this Friday.   This card does have a secret - it looks like a regular card, however when  you open it - it looks like this, just need to add some greetings now. The next card is a 'step up' from the card that they made last week.  This card was designed by Michelle Smith, a Kaszazz consultant. The camellias have been using a watercolour technique using Ranger Distress Oxide Ink Candied Apple instead of painting you "pounce" the ink on and yes, white areas have been purposely left! What do you think of this layout?  Very different for me, I don't usually use lavender colours or so much floral patterned paper in my layouts. All papers are Kaszazz from Nature Lover collection and the layout also uses Kaszazz pearls and silver washi tape.   The word smile is from my stash.   The photos were taken in April, 2017 on a cruise that my sister and I did with Unmistakable Creations. Unfortunately my printer is playing up and the photos came out with a very 'lavender' tone so I went with it! Stay safe, Margaret
