Leaving Sydney

Image
The Sydney Opera House is one of my favourite buildings in the world. It has inspired me over the years in my artistic endeavours.  Therefore, leaving Sydney on a cruise is always a perfect opportunity to take more photos! Grid style using up 4 project life cards from my stash - so many more to go!  Do they multiply in the drawer! I have added this layout to Calvinball 2025 - still time to check it out if you are after a fun scrapbook challenge - there are "rules" but they are subject to change at anytime!   Thank you for looking, Margaret.   #calvinball #calvinball2025 #scraphappy

Making sticky tape look 'old'

Image
Yesterday, I had a play with sticky tape and alcohol inks....making tape that looks old! In the photo above you can see where I have used on a quick collage - look top left and up from bottom left. There are lots of videos on how to do this out in social media land, this how I created mine: You need to ensure you use in a well-ventilated area. 1. Layout your sticky tape (any size - I used regular sized) onto baking paper, either close together or apart as I have done. 2. Using alcohol ink - you can use one colour or 2 or even 3 if you want (I used 2) apply over the tape, several times if needed. 3. Allow to dry (remember it is alcohol ink so won't take long) 4. Use.  A hint if the sticky part of the tape is not so sticky when you use on a project just add some glue behind to stick down. 5. You can see what happened when I removed the tape to use on my collage - perfect to be used on other projects. Thank you for looking.  Margaret

Another bright and happy cats

Image
I had so much fun making the previous card and whilst I had stamps, Alcohol Ink Art Markers (AIAM) out I created a quick and easy card. All products available from Kaszazz. The cat was another image from Happy Cats 2 stamp set and the greetings are from Flora & Fauna collection - Let's hang out and Mini-Messages - Open Rd stamp sets.  Remember to check my previous post as Kaszazz has a promotion involving the AIAM's for the month of September. Thank you for looking, Margaret

Butterflies galore

Image
I seem to be having a little love affair recently with the Embosslits (r) Beautiful Wings die available from Stampin'Up! (r).  I have been using little scraps of paper to run through the die and have built up a collection of what I call 'butterfly confetti' I am having guests for lunch today, and as I was wrapping the cutlery in their beautiful serviette (napkin for my US friends) I thought - 'too plain'.  So off I went to my 'butterfly confetti' and it matched....yippee just what I needed to add the Margaret touch.  I have hole punched and attached some ribbon around the serviette, with a bow so that it can easily be removed. Quick and easy. Here they are in close up.  Something cute for my guests.   Thank you for looking and have a great weekend all.
