Challenge YOUrself - Feel the ocean breeze.

Okay, so having found somewhat of my 'Mojo' back I have decided to put this layout into a challenge over at Challenge Yourself  blog: These are photos of my sister (right) and myself (left) on the deck of Explorer of Seas during one evening on ourrecent cruise. They were difficult to decide just what to do with them - as we did not co-ordinate our outfits (haha) and the deck was so 'out there' with its colours.   In the end I decided as the photos were so busy to go with a busy paper that includes many of the items in the challenge photo below.  I felt the photos in the challenge were definitely 'feel the ocean breeze'.                                        All papers and embellishment are Kaisercraft.  Maybe I will get some time over the weekend to do a more subdued...

I have completed this layout for challenge over at Challenge YOUself . The challenge was to create a layout as shown below: Now, I have never mastered this taking a selfie thing - I suppose this one, that I took earlier this year, comes the closest to one I am happy with.  The alphas I die cut first in pink and then as they did not stand out, I shadowed them with black cardstock: I have taken the photo tonight and it does not really do the pink colours justice, however I wanted to get challenge in as it finishes on 4th September. Thank you for looking and take a selfie today.   Margaret :)

Found a challenge over at Challenge Yourself  where the criteria was "Anything Goes" and had to include YOU that is ME in the layout. Also there was another "Anything Goes" challenge at 2 Creative Chicks and their criteria no cards (layouts, knitting, crocheting it seems anything goes is right - I may just finish my scarf I am knitting). Here is my layout: I was inspired by a layout by Laura Vegas for Bella Bvld that I have used previously.  This time I used papers mainly from Fancy Pants Designs called Collecting Moments.  The are other papers and embellishments that I have included. I love the pockets that you can use for journaling or other memorabilia. It also allows you to use anywhere from 8 photos (if cropped to 2" x 2") or more if you put some in the pockets.  Here is a close up of the pockets: The photographs were taken at a recent scrapbook retreat - friends Jane and Margaret B are in the centre photograph and the others show me scrapp...
