This weekend, I am participating in challenges over at Scrappingclearly Virtual Cyber Crop.  Here is an art journal page I created for Challenge 1:  The challenge was to use the Maya Angelou quote, on my page: For my background I: took a page from an old dictionary, tore in half and applied to my page with Ranger Mat Medium. after allowing it to dry (well with the help of heat gun) I then applied Dylusion Paints - polished jade and peony blush with an ink blending tool randomly a baby wipe then applied to soften the colour and also to wipe over a circle stencil to obtain small circles and bring out some of the dictionary text.  Allowed to dry again. using Kaisercraft Designer Template and texture paste applied that to bottom left of my page. I printed out the quote and then coloured up with the paints, cut and then applied to page with a black mount.  The white dots were created using a correction pen. Gel Plate 101

This is a long post.  Hope you stay with me. What is a gel plate I hear you ask - unless you have used these previously you may wonder what they are.  Straight from the web is this description "gel printing plates look and feel like gelatin, but are durable, reusuable and store at room temperature. Last week, this week and for the next two weeks I am leading ladies to make cards in Mt Colah, NSW.  Dianne, my friend, said are you going to show the ladies how you used your gel plate? So that is how I decided to play today and you never know I may end up getti...

Happy Days

I have had time to play around with Dylusions Ink Sprays and new to me Kaszazz products. Here is the layout I have designed inspired by a layout by Jess Williams for Kaszazz.   I have not been able to find any links for her, so if you are reading this Jess, thank you. Photo to be added. Lots of Dylusions Ink Spray - Pomegranate Seed, Dirty Martini and Slate Grey and stamping with Dylusions Paint - White Linen.  Everything used is available from Kaszazz and yes, I recently became a consultant! I am planning on running a class with this layout shortly. Close up of the spraying and inking. All products used available from Kaszazz. Happy Days in  2018.   Margaret :)
