Stamps Ahead

I was asked, by a friend, to make a wedding card for her neighbours who are getting married at the end of month.  The request was silver embossing. For this card I used Kaszazz stamps 6712K Happy Birthday Sunflowers and hearts are from 6377Q Collage Stamp - Cupid (you get 6 stamps in this set).  The greeting and surrounding dots are from stamps  in my stash.   After stamping with Versamark embossing ink and then embossed with silver embossing ink. I made a quick dash to Spotlight to get the silver glitter paper and silver rhinestones. Thank you for looking, Margaret  

It is raining on the Central Coast today.  Yippee - let's hope that the country areas of Australia are getting it as well. This weekend I am off to a wedding.  I have known the bride-to-be since she was born.  So happy for her for her special day.  Here is the card I made for them. and I made a matching envelope using Envelope Punch Board. I used a much loved Stampin' Up! sets that I have had forever - I just cannot part with them.  They are so versatile, especially for elegant wedding cards. The medallion  is from a set of the same name and the words are from Wonderful Words, this has a date of 2004! This weekend I am heading to a wedding and here is the card I made for them.  I handmade the flower rosette from antique lace. A little secret between us, of course, I thought I would buy them a card, I have been busy, BUT the cards were $6.99 each.....can you believe it!!!!    So I quickly hightailed it home and made this one. I love the graphic nature of the black and white. Thanks for looking, Margaret

Yesterday I purchased a new die - Spellbinders Filigree Vase and just had to try it.  This card is for The Lollipop Ladies current challenge of Sour Cola Bottles with glitter twist. The Filigree Vase reminded me of the bottles. I used my Cuttlebug and cut out the bottom vase shape in silver glitter paper (it does not show up clearly in the photo) and used brown cardstock for the filigree overlay and a piece of Kaisercraft paper cut out strategically at a spray of flowers. I gave this card to my cousin and her new husband for their holiday - congratulations to Sandra and Peter. Tomorrow I am attending a wedding and here is the card I have made for the happy couple. The colour was inspired by the ribbon around their wedding invitation. Looking for a less traditional wedding card I went blog surfing and I found a card by Christine Miller on which I based this card. My thanks also go to Jayne for lending me her stamp. Happiness always Tegan and Ben
