Stamps Ahead

Tomorrow, is the last Friday of term for the class I lead at a local community group.  These are the two cards the participants will be making. This card, designed by me, uses a new stamp from Kaszazz called Gum Books from the recently released Home Sweet Home collection.  The ladies (sorry, no men are in the class) will colour in using their preferred method - I have used since retired Alcohol Ink Markers.   The east coast of New South Wales, where I live on the lower edge, had constant rain over the past weekend and week, so it seemed appropriate that I feature the gum boots on this card.   This card, again created by me, uses a paper napkin/serviette applied with craft glue.  It is not a new technique.  I loved the design on the napkin immediately and I thought 'card'.   The paper napkin, that has a repeated design in each corner, has 3 plies and 2 of the plies are removed leaving the top layer for placing on the card.    Th...

Over the past couple of days I have been playing around with texture.  Here are a just some of the note cards I have made: To create these cards I applied craft glue to my card and then used a 3 ply paper napkin that I had separated into individual sheets (this is an alternative to using tissue paper) over the glued area creating texture as I did it. Excess paper was trimmed away.  I then allowed them tp dry. Then, I sprayed the cards with the some of spray inks (various brands used) I had in my stash - I only used 2 colours on each card.   To finish the cards I used a Crafters Companions die and Kaszazz stamps. The cards (of which these are but a few) I am posting to the ladies who attend my community card class just to say thinking of you during this time. This past weekend Kaszazz introduced 2019-2020 annual catalogue. In my previous post I shared with you my cards that were published in the catalogue. Our Kaszazz group had a retreat on the weekend and there was a challenge to create a project using one or more of the specialised papers that we have - tissue paper, acetate, glimmer paper and watercolour paper.  Here is my entry: The photo of the sunset was taken at Ettalong Beach on 12 June this year and I had it printed and sitting on my shelf since then just looking at that marvelous sky. All products used are by Kaszazz. After playing and trying out several ideas, I finally looked at my photo once again and thought I could do a layout and card using my photo for inspiration. I used tissue paper that was scrunched and then straightened out. I then applied to white cardstock with multi-medium gel.  After allowing this to dry I applied Ranger Distress Inks Black Soot, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Stormy Sky.  ...
