Stamps Ahead

 Here is my layout for the March challenge over at ARTastic  challenge blog For their challenges this year they made some changes and during inspiration for our layouts will come from ART ROOMS (aka store window displays).  How we interpret the displays is totally up to creator.  Here is the challenge room for this month  As you can see I was inspired by the leaves around three sides of the display - so I pulled out my leaf dies/stamps and went too town!   The photos were taken in 2015 when I and some friends spent a book club weekend at Leura in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales.  In the property that we stayed in I spied this mushroom and it was a delight to watch it 'blossom' during the 4 days we spent there.  Like a lot of my photos they have stayed and each time I think I will reduce the photos in my stash I just could not depart with them.  Thank you for looking, Margaret

Last one for today, I promise!  This layout was for another challenge at Soul Scrappers .  Have I told you lately how much I love the variety of challenges that they have - why not register and check them out yourself. Here is the challenge inspiration layout: Another great photo from our recent Book Club road trip to Leura and The Blue Mountains.  This time it is a group shot taken at Hargraves Lookout in Blackheath.   Lots of different product used on my layout, too many to list.  It all seemed to come together when I got out my stash. Now I need to go and create some card designs, have lunch and get warm.  Bye for now, Margaret :)

Another layout completed this weekend.  This time my inspiration was Make in Monday 41 at The Memory Nest  - see sketch below.  I like this clean and simple sketch so much I did a double layout. I just realised that this is my 500th post to this blog.   I hope you have enjoyed my papercrafting journey so far and will stay with me for the next 500.  Thank you, Margaret This layout was inspired by one I saw in a magazine - my apologies I seem to have lost the article, but if you are reading this and you are the creator of the original layout - thank you.   I am near to finishing my photos from my holiday to USA and Canada last year.  These photos are of some of the people that were my travel companions on Trafalgar Tour - Enchanting Maritimes. The coach was full of people from USA, Canada and Australia.   The following photos were taken on a recent trip up to The Blue Mountains of NSW that I did with my fellow book club ladies - please enjoy looking at them. A blind scrap is where you are given a list of what you need for your layout and then bit by bit the steps to complete the layout are given.   Here is my layout - light not the best at nearly 11.30pm. These photos were taken in January 2011 when my friends from Missouri visited me here in Australia.   This day we went to The Blue Mountains - and this stop provided them with their first real view of the magnificent Megalong Valley.  Next stop was The Three Sisters and for them a walk down into the valley.  They loved this part of Australia and still talk about this trip to this day. The papers/alphas and stickers are from the Take A Hike collection by Simple Stories.  The rest from my stash!  I have only just purchased these papers and they were perfect for this long time not scrapped photos.  Thank you for looking.    Margaret
