High Tea memory

Image
This is layout I created for their July Challenge at What's in the Bickie Tin?   The challenge was a "Stash Buster" challenge. And we were required to use 4 Patterned Paper, 3 Clusters, 2 Tags and a title. Patterned paper were from Unmistakeable Creations "Count Your Blessings" collection. For the first time in a long time I used a die cut 'memory' I cut 4 of the die cut (the last being white cardstock) and adhered them together. I also used up some metallic dots, cheescloth and a frame was from 49 & Market. The photo, of my sister, was taken whilst we enjoyed High Tea for her birthday in January this year at Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney. A memory that will last for a long time. My journalling will go on the blue tag - by the way, my sister's favourite colour is blue. Thank you for looking. Margaret

A layout I created for a layout recipe challenge over at Unmistakable Creations Here is the recipe.   I used the Mistakeable Creations collection called "Count your Blessings".  This collection is still available on the webpage .  I used 3 of the patterned papers and white cardstock for my layout. See photos below. The photos of my sister (on the right of main photo) and I were taken whilst we enjoyed High Tea at the Shangri-la Hotel in Sydney. It was my sister's birthday, a milestone one, and this was my gift to her.  We enjoyed the treats whilst looking down the beautiful Sydney Harbour Bridge and the harbour.   Thank you for looking.  Margaret

High Tea

I have been helping my sister out and have been making a couple of layouts for her with photos from her collection. Here is one I just finished for her: I raided my stash for all things pink and also found 2 crochet embellishments - Kaisercraft, just right for the layout. The cup was a gift card and I have attached some rhinestones to make it shine.  The photo dates back to around May 2016. She just needs to a little bit of journaling. Hope she likes the layout. Cheers and stay safe, Margaret. Crafting in the time of Coronavirus.

A high tea as high as me......

A layout I created for a mood board challenge at Shop and Crop Scrapbooking. Click on the link and join the Facebook Group and get involved in challenges that they will post.  This week I got an email from Splitcoast Stampers and they had a tutorial on how to complete a starburst card.  I thought why not try as a scrapbook layout.   I loved the colours on the mood board below (unfortunately the colours on my layout do not look as bright due to light when I just took the photo - I will try again in the day tomorrow).  The photograph was taken when my sister and I went to a high tea and as I stood up it was the right angle to show the entire plate of goodies. A close up of the Glimmer Mist I applied to the layout.  There are a lot of mists around these days and since I purchased this pink mist but I always seem to come back to this one. The mood board for inspiration. Definitely celebrate your life with colour everyday. Thank y...

Memories of old and new times.

Here are a few more layouts that I created on a recent scrapbook retreat weekend that I attended. The first one is of our old family home in Asquith, New South Wales. This was my grandparents home (you can see them on the front porch) and we spent a good deal of time with them and even moved in when our rented place (one street away) was sold.   So many happy memories of time there. Scrapbook retreat fun - tropical theme.  I smile everytime I look at the right hand photo - it looks as though I am wearing an elaborate headdress!!!   Papers and embellishments from Close to my Heart (CTMH).  Tropical seems to be a current trend in the papercraft world, love the washi tape and the pink adhesive sequins.... Another layout using CTMH products.  The photos are of my sister and I enjoying a high tea at a café that had a special deal.   I love exploring and discovering new places for a high tea - what made this on different? ...
