Stamps Ahead

Thank you for coming to my blog, do I say that enough?  This is a rather lengthy entry as I have had painters in for the past week and my house looks like an episode of "Hoarders", they have gone now and I am trying to catch up with all that needs to be done to get back into order. Once again, over at Scrapbook Challenges there was a Progressive Scrapbooking challenge for September. Here are the steps published each week: Week 1 Choose one 4" x 6" photo (hold on to it) Choose and adhere a pattern paper (pp) background (no cardstock allowed) Choose  and adhere another piece of pp to match and cut to any size you like Week 2 Choose and adhere one piece of pp and cut a 2" wide strip Choose and adhere another co-ordinating pp and cut to about 8" x 8" or 9" x 9" Week 3 Place your photo on layout add journal spot and subtitle(s) Week 4 Add title , journaling and embellishments!. I have been making some cards for a friend and I wanted to use a new Stampin'Up (r) stamp set called Artistic Etchings. It is perfect for vintage type cards and also images would be suitable to use for a male card. I went in search of inspiration and found this video . This is a complete case of the card as I loved all the elements that the artist has used. Merci for stopping by. Margaret.

She will get to cook with some amazing chefs. My sister is a great cook herself and she loves to make cupcakes. Whilst looking at a magazine recently I read of a great bakery/restuarant in Bloomsbury, London so I have made her a bon-voyage card and put inside some money to have a treat (maybe some cupcakes or meringues) on me. As well as the stamp set Crazy for Cupcakes (note I have amended the greeting to say "hope your holiday is the sweetest ever") I have used my Cuttlebug - yes I succombed and got one and die-cut/embossed a frame from Spellbinders. Blue is her favourite colour as well so a little bit of watercolouring and I think it is a sweet card. Happy holidays Heather.
