Stamps Ahead

In December, 2015 to be exact.  Here is a double-sided layout I created for challenge at White with 1.   The challenge was to use CRIMSON TIDE  and the sketch provided had to be used this month - either as a double page or a single page selecting one side for your layout. I went with double page layout.     One morning, I travelled by train, from the hotel where my sister and I were staying, near Heathrow, so that I could be first in the line and for a journey on The London Eye. It was a great decision as it was not crowded and it was a beautiful morning, you could see forever.  The zoom lens on my camera allowed me to catch up close photos. It has 6 long years to get these photos scrapped. That is not me waving from one of the carriages of The Eye! Now about my layout, this proved to be one of the most challenging all year - that colour.  You would think it was easy, however I searched my stash for colours that I could work with.  Remember, that ...

This weekend I was at a scrapbooking retreat local to where I live.  First I want to share with you sunset Friday night. In one word - SPECTACULAR. Look at the reflection on the water. Here is the first layout completed this weekend that I am sharing. Completed for a sketch challenge over at Soul Scrappers . The photograph of me was taken on World Chocolate Day July 2017 and here I am enjoying a cup of hot chocolate to celebrate. The sketch follows. I have used a Kaisercraft emboss resist paper (that does not show up well in the photo but it is embossed with flowers and leaves) and I added watered down Gelato's in two colours randomly onto the paper, I have fussy cut the flowers from a piece of paper I had in my stash, applied lace and some added embellishments. Continuing on with the theme of my last post - time to create. This time it was on my recent holiday to Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia.  This layout was created for a sketch challenge over at Scrap Girls at Home Retreat.  They are celebrating 11 years of being in business - Congratulations. One of things that I took with me was all the bits and pieces required to make cards with my friends daughters.  They had such a fun time making the cards - we made them over two days. Another little hint, I did the faux stitching on the larger circle by tracing around a bread and butter plate. Here is the challenge sketch.
