Fundraiser scrapbooking day

Image
Today, I led scrapbooking classes locally, to raise funds for Mango Tree Academy in Kissi, Kenya. 12 ladies came and they made two double page layouts that I designed especially for the day. This layout uses Serendipity range of papers available from Kaszazz - all embellishments are also from Kaszazz.  I have yet to add my photos.   The chipboard was first painted with gesso and then stamp ink applied and finally Glossy Accents added for that extra sheen. This layout again uses paper and chipboard embellishments available from Kaszazz.  There are two papers not Kaszazz - corrugated orange on bottom and the solid orange squares.   Die cuts of Koala, gum leaves and words are by other suppliers. Both these layouts were designed for multiple photos something that the ladies have requested in the past. A great day was had and funds raised to give back to others. Thank you for looking, Margaret :)

Beautiful Aussie sky

Image
This layout was completed for challenges at ARTastic and Scrapbook Challenges.  The photos were taken when I was down Canberra way a couple of weeks ago.  We were in Hall for the markets and on our way to another location, when I spotted the beautiful sky overhead.  I stopped the car and just had to take some photos. The ARTastic challenge was to inspired by this photo and the criteria was wood veneer. My trees are wood veneer. I am also adding this to a challenge over at Scrapbook Challenges  where we were to be inspired by the sketch above: Why not head over to ARTastic  and Scrapbook Challen ges and have a go yourself with these challenges. Is that owl winking at you? Cheers, Margaret :)

The great outdoors in NSW

Image
This last weekend, my sister was invited to a wedding in Wellington NSW. We left late Thursday afternoon and headed to Blue Mountains for the night. In the morning, a short early morning walk to Sublime Point at Leura. You get fantastic views of The3 Sisters from this lookout and without the crowds at Echo Point.. And the mist/clouds rose up the mountains it was a fantastic site. Next we headed for Wellington and as Heather attended the wedding, on Saturday morning, I went for a drive in the country around Wellington. Some great photos of cattle, sheep and countryside. After the wedding we headed for Mudgee and again the mist below the mountains was inspiring. Enjoy beautiful NSW. A great weekend out in the great outdoors.
