Fun fold card and more

Image
Here are the two cards I prepared for the local community group today A card that really displays the woodgrain paper beautifully. Minimal stamping. This card has a 'wow' - when the recipient opens the card there is a great fold.  I was inspired by a card I found on the internet. I needed to make a few changes to the measures to fit Australian measurements.      A Pop Up Card Idea with All You Need to Make an Amazing Surprise (simplysimplestamping.com) Thank you Connie for the inspiration.   This could be a birthday card, anniversary card, wedding card, etc.  The stamps are Kaszazz Silhouette Garden and FSJ Make Amazing Happen with die cut.   Thank you for looking. Margaret

Interactive birthday card

As I mentioned in my previous post that I was inspired by a card I created that - here is that card I was inspired by a card that I saw on U-Tube created by Lisas Stamp Studio - I have left a thank you on her post. Once again I have used paper and stamps from Kaszazz Home Sweet Home collection. The stamps I used are Watering Can and Word Montage - Card Quotes (7 stamps).  I have coloured the image with salcohol markers. This is one of the cards that the ladies in the card class that I lead at a local community group will make tomorrow. I was inspired by this card to create the interactive layout (see link above) - using the card as I guide I got out my papers and rulers to make the layout.  Thank you for looking, Margaret

Birthday cards

This week the card class I lead at a local community group return, after the Easter School Holidays break.  Here are the cards for this week. This fun fold card showcases the beautiful papers from Home Sweet Home collection and Cute Panda stamps available from Kaszazz.  My thanks to Lucy Jones for her initial inspiration for this card. Interested in purchasing these products head to my website  www.kaszazz.com/cart?consid=110787 Inspiration for card designs come from many places, in this case an early 1990's papercraft magazine and I was taken by the corrugated cardstock embellishment.  I have used an old paper corrugator that I have had to make the panel on this card.  The card is 5.9" square. The Franceville paper I found at Spotlight.  The gum flower/bud stamp is available from Kaszazz - Flowering Gum Un-cut Set (3 stamps) and it complemented the paper beautifully. Thank you for looking,  have a great week ahead.

Scrap fabric birthday cards

2 more birthdays this week.  Here are the cards I have made using torn pieces of fabric stitched to a card base and then attached to main card.  1st card was for my sister who turned 70 this week.  I have mentioned previously that her favourite colour is blue.  The '70' has had ink and glossy accents applied. The 2nd card is for a friend who also has a birthday this week.    Thank you for looking, Margaret

Flower cards - Spring is here

These are the 2 cards my class will be making this Friday.   This card does have a secret - it looks like a regular card, however when  you open it - it looks like this, just need to add some greetings now. The next card is a 'step up' from the card that they made last week.  This card was designed by Michelle Smith, a Kaszazz consultant. The camellias have been using a watercolour technique using Ranger Distress Oxide Ink Candied Apple instead of painting you "pounce" the ink on and yes, white areas have been purposely left! Thank you for looking.  Margaret.

Cards for class

Here are the cards I designed for the community group I lead on Fridays. One of the ladies requested a card that featured an owl. I have been working with many of ladies for awhile now and have got to know what techniques that they like and what maybe their favourite.  Some of them do not like colouring in - so for these cards I chose techniques that did not require any colouring in.  Here are the cards close up. For this card you stamp the stamp image on to patterned paper/s, fussy cut out then apply to card.  The stamps and gold tapes are from Kaszazz. The rest from my stash. This card uses what is called the direct to paper method in that you take the stamp pad (in this case it was turquoise) and you slide it across the paper.  You get a different result each time you do it.  The owls are made with an owl punch in two different colours again - no colouring in on this card!  This card was inspired by one I found by Michelle Zindorf on the intern...
