Stamps Ahead

One more post for today,  each Team Training Day (TDD) there is a challenge set by Kaszazz to use products selected by them. The challenge for this TDD was to use anything from the Game On collection.  Other products in the catalogue could be used however the Game On collection must be used. Here is my challenge entry  I designed and created 3 cards that celebrate the spirit of Australia and its people, especially those in country Australia.  The papers and greetings are from Game On collection and the 3 main stamped images are from the Flora and Fauna collection and they have been coloured with watercolour pencils. This week the card class I lead at a local community group return, after the Easter School Holidays break.  Here are the cards for this week. This fun fold card showcases the beautiful papers from Home Sweet Home collection and Cute Panda stamps available from Kaszazz.  My thanks to Lucy Jones for her initial inspiration for this card. Interested in purchasing these products head to my website  www.kaszazz.com/cart?consid=110787 Inspiration for card designs come from many places, in this case an early 1990's papercraft magazine and I was taken by the corrugated cardstock embellishment.  I have used an old paper corrugator that I have had to make the panel on this card.  The card is 5.9" square. The Franceville paper I found at Spotlight.  The gum flower/bud stamp is available from Kaszazz - Flowering Gum Un-cut Set (3 stamps) and it complemented the paper beautifully. Layout 2 for Calvinball 2021.                                 The rules I used are 3 of a kind - 3 fussy cut leaves and also 3 stamped images, however no double dipping this day so can only count once; something you coloured -  the gum leaves and kangaroo stamps with markers; kangaroo in the photo and the stamp. The photo of me with the kangaroo was taken in 2011 when USA friends visited Australia.  We had a great day at Walkabout Wildlife Park, Calga NSW which is now "just up the road" from where I now live.  I found this photo 'in my pile' recently and my first thought - I will put that up front wondering if Calvinball would have a kangaroo rule!  And they did!   I have used all Kaszazz products on my layout (with the exception) of the corrugated paper.  Stamps are from the Flora and Fauna collection and papers from Australian collection.  An interesting fact about...

I had so much fun making the previous card and whilst I had stamps, Alcohol Ink Art Markers (AIAM) out I created a quick and easy card. All products available from Kaszazz. Yes, that heat I wrote about yesterday is still with us and today there are strong winds forecast as well - just starting to get them. Just heard sirens, hope it is not fire as it is perfect conditions for bush fires. Here is a layout I have created for a challenge over at Paper Issues - the challenge, called Creature Feature, was to use a pet or animal on a layout. I have no pets, so  chose this photo of an Emu taken in Central Australia 2 years ago. This layout uses all Kaszazz product - paper from Australian collection, stamps from Flora and Fauna collection, die and stamp from Nature Lover collection and the fabulous chipboard leaves, that I love.  Archival Ink in Coffee, Leaf Green and Jet Black complete the layout - oh forgot about the scrap of blue paper from Distress Surfaces that I used. Here is a layout I have created using a new Kaszazz collection Flora and Fauna. The stamped and gold embossed sentiment says "It's the friends we meet along the way that help us appreciate the journey."   This is a photo of one of my longest lasting friendships.  We were in the same year, however not the same class, but surprisingly we never met at school and it was only after we left that we met.  Robyn and her husband live in Canberra and over many years I have travelled down or they have travelled up and we have caught up all over again.  In March this year I travelled to Canberra and we went to the Arboretum for lunch and a drive around this fabulous place.
