Stamps Ahead

 This is a layout I created today for a Shapes Cyber Challenge over at ARTastic .   The challenge was a 'recipe' challenge and here is the recipe : Ingredients Shapes - I used squares and triangles Chipboard - The golden chipboard words Die - Triangle die Stencil - Triangle stencil Method: Choose one shape and use it as many times as you wish. Use at least two pieces of Chipboard.  Die cut at least one shape. Use a stencil The photo is of my great-nephew constructing his Mangatiles.  I loved the shapes in the tiles - so I decided to go with squares and triangles.  I remembered making the origami shapes for a card I created some time ago so I went with that.   Thank you for looking, Margaret

 Today Calvinball had an on-line crop and here is a layout I completed during the crop.  The rules I used included - handwritten journalling, date your layout, chipboard, frame, camera, flair, polka dot paper, washi tape, mushrooms and I found an AVOCADO on some cooking papers I had. Can you find the avocado on my layout? Hint - it is obscuring peoples faces. And no, we did not have avocado or mushrooms for dinner! Last night my sister (top left), our friend Heather (bottom) and I (top right) went to the Preview Restaurant at Ourimbah TAFE (Technical and Further Education).  The restaurant is a training venue for students studying inthe Hospitality Section of the college and is open for lunch and dinner on several days and nights.  We enjoyed ourselves and will plan to go again later in the year.   Remember if you want to participate in Calvinball check out    http://scraphappy.org/calvinball .  I completed this layout today.   The designer of the layout was Natalie May (2017) and I purchased it in kit form - the kit included the paper, stencil, chipboard and hardware.   Everything else I used came from my stash. Here is a layout I created for a challenge at Soul Scrappers .  The inspiration was street art. I took this challenge literally and used a photo I took in December 2015 whilst in Innsbruck, Austria. It has been in my 'must get that onto a layout sometime' so today was that sometime! I found this graffiti on a university wall, across the road from the hotel we were staying in at Innsbruck....hence the 101 in my title. Did they not get into university! Did they not get their degree! I  have kept the layout fairly simple. I created a mask so that I could sponge ink as on the wall. A mix of chipboard from my stash coloured with ink finish off the layout. Thank you for looking, Margaret

Here is a set of 3 cards I recently made for a team training day (TDD) with our team of Kaszazz Demonstrators.  We were set a challenge to use any of our current chipboard and current product to design our entry. I have double embossed the chipboard.  So what is this?  After first embossing with our gold embossing powder and then embossed again with same powders.  This gives a depth to the chipboard. A great alternative to using foils. The papers our from our Nostalgic collection of papers and stamps. I won a voucher for taking out first prize in our group - as voted on by my fellow team members. Today, I led scrapbooking classes locally, to raise funds for Mango Tree Academy in Kissi, Kenya. 12 ladies came and they made two double page layouts that I designed especially for the day. This layout uses Serendipity range of papers available from Kaszazz - all embellishments are also from Kaszazz.  I have yet to add my photos.   The chipboard was first painted with gesso and then stamp ink applied and finally Glossy Accents added for that extra sheen. This layout again uses paper and chipboard embellishments available from Kaszazz.  There are two papers not Kaszazz - corrugated orange on bottom and the solid orange squares.   Die cuts of Koala, gum leaves and words are by other suppliers. Both these layouts were designed for multiple photos something that the ladies have requested in the past. A great day was had and funds raised to give back to others.
