Stamps Ahead

Here is a layout I completed today: On Easter Sunday I did a beach walk on Ocean Beach - just about 100 steps up my road - it is my happy place. Now, why did she take a chocolate rabbit, I hear you ask!   A couple of days before this I had given my 93 year old neighbor a chocolate rabbit that was the same as this one.  On Easter Sunday I decided to take an early morning walk and take the chocolate with me and practicing social distancing with said rabbit, took a few photos.   When I got home I printed off one of the photos with the rabbit in and put on her screen door with an Easter Greeting on the back.  She had a great laugh and really appreciated the photo. I was going to enter this into Challenge 2 over at White with 1 April Cyber Crop but as I was typing this entry I realized - EPIC FAIL - I did not meet the criteria.  I used lots of things in my stash but alas not blue!!! Today, I am completing some challenges over at Paper Issues (Friends and Fans) facebook page - Spring 2020 Crop.  Okay, so in Australia it is not spring but that does not matter.  This layout is for "Over the Rainbow" The challenge was to create a paper project using a rainbow, a Paper Issues cut file or rainbow colours. This photo was taken on 16th March as I was driving back to my home along the road that passes the beach.  For those who don't know, this is Ocean Beach on Central Coast of NSW, it is just up the road from home - walking distance.  I feel truly blessed that this is on my doorstep.  I stopped to capture the rainbow as it dipped into the water. The rain fell as I was taking the photo. I debated for some time if I was going to use rainbow colours, but they just did not suit this photo so went with a moody capture of what I saw.    The papers are Kaszazz and all the bits and pieces came from my stash. Last Sunday, I went for a walk along the beach that is just up the road from me.  I was having morning tea at the beach café when I saw Santa coming onto the beach (from a surfboard I believe), I quickly grabbed my camera, of course!  Here is the layout I have completed: I am adding this to a Tic Tac Toe challenge over at Soul Scrappers , here is the grid we were given. I selected the left hand column. This Santa arriving reminded me of a Christmas that I had in Hawaii a couple of  years ago.  One of the highlights was seeing their Santa arrive, by inflatable lifeboat, and the faces and smiles of all the young kids and the not so young. Here is 'my beach' on Christmas Day 2016, taken about 9am as I headed out for the day. The past few Christmas's had seen overcast days but in 2016 a beautiful sunny day. Another layout completed on the weekend retreat. This is a clean and simple layout.  Washi tape x 2 has been applied around the central square. The shell stamp has been stamped on a piece of white cardstock, with Distress Ink Antique Linen applied.  I then cut out the shell and with some simple stamping around it.    Today, looks like a wet and windy one. My cousin and her husband who are staying in a local caravan park will come around today and we are going to make some cards. It is planned that we will be going out on a BBQ boat for lunch but with thunder and rain happening at present that looks like a plan that will not come off.   Enjoy whatever you are doing today.  Margaret :)

This past week I went down to 'my' beaches - Ocean Beach to Umina Beach taking my Samsung Tablet with me as I wanted to take a panorama shot.  This is the view I have after I have walked just 100 steps from my front gate and up and over a small sand dune - I never tire of this view. I have completed this layout for a challenge over at ARTastic Challenge Blog .  The challenge was to be inspired by the following artwork  -Bondi Scene by Isabelle May Tweddle. The criteria was Summer. Some particulars - I have raised the main photo with foam tape - both the photo and the corrugated blue mount. In real life it gives the impression of raising above the sand image on the patterned paper. I have used paper, stickers and die cuts from Kaisercraft Sandy Toes collection and scattered hessian twine, pearls and sparkles randomly.
