Stamps Ahead

In December, 2015 to be exact.  Here is a double-sided layout I created for challenge at White with 1.   The challenge was to use CRIMSON TIDE  and the sketch provided had to be used this month - either as a double page or a single page selecting one side for your layout. I went with double page layout.     One morning, I travelled by train, from the hotel where my sister and I were staying, near Heathrow, so that I could be first in the line and for a journey on The London Eye. It was a great decision as it was not crowded and it was a beautiful morning, you could see forever.  The zoom lens on my camera allowed me to catch up close photos. It has 6 long years to get these photos scrapped. That is not me waving from one of the carriages of The Eye! Australia Day here in Australia today.   I am participating in some on-line scrapbook challenges run by Scrappingclearly and here is my layout for their first challenge: Create a layout using product from any or all of these Australian Companies - KaiserCraft, Flutterby Design, Cocoa Vanilla. My layout uses all product by KaiserCraft: In December, 2015 my sister (in the photo) and I spent some time in London - sightseeing, visiting a family member, shopping.   On this day we were headed for the Museum of London, and we found this little park area just down the street from the Museum.   Loved the plinth and we had fun posing around it. Thank you for coming to my blog, do I say that enough?  This is a rather lengthy entry as I have had painters in for the past week and my house looks like an episode of "Hoarders", they have gone now and I am trying to catch up with all that needs to be done to get back into order. Once again, over at Scrapbook Challenges there was a Progressive Scrapbooking challenge for September. Okay, I have taken the plunge and signed up for Pinterest as over at Scrapbook Challenges they had a challenge to create a layout inspired by a 'pin' on Pinterest.  I was inspired by this layout by Nicole Samuels , I loved the scallop border. Here is my layout inspired by her layout. My photos were taken not far from where my sister and I were staying in London.  We were on our way to Christmas afternoon tea at The Ritz last December.  Even though they were taken at the same time, the exposure is different.  The one of me, on the right, is closer to what it was actually like.  Thank you Nicole for your inspiration. 

Over at Scrapbook Challenges  they had a layout to use that was just perfect for scrapping many photos. These photos were taken on 13th December, 2011 at the 5.30pm seating for Christmas Afternoon Tea at The Ritz in London.  We pre-booked before we left Australia.   Below is the double page layout.  Below is the left hand page with more detail.  This one is of the right hand page detail. The journalling says: Our afternoon to get all dressed up! We took the tube to Green Park, we walked to Fortnum & Mason and Picadilly Arcade before heading for The Ritz. We left our coats in the Cloak Room and got an impressive token and I pretended it was our room key!!! The tress were amazing decorated in red, gold and tea cups and tea pots and we posed for photos, of course! I saw this sketch over at 4 x 6 Sketch blog  and really liked it.  I did have to crop the bottom two photos to remove unwanted details.  The two photos of me were taken whilst I was on The Eye. The papers are from Graphic 45 Steampunk range.  It was a beautiful morning when I went on this last year.  Hope you like it.   Margaret.
