Stamps Ahead

This week the card class I lead at a local community group return, after the Easter School Holidays break.  Here are the cards for this week. This fun fold card showcases the beautiful papers from Home Sweet Home collection and Cute Panda stamps available from Kaszazz.  My thanks to Lucy Jones for her initial inspiration for this card. Interested in purchasing these products head to my website  www.kaszazz.com/cart?consid=110787 Inspiration for card designs come from many places, in this case an early 1990's papercraft magazine and I was taken by the corrugated cardstock embellishment.  I have used an old paper corrugator that I have had to make the panel on this card.  The card is 5.9" square. The Franceville paper I found at Spotlight.  The gum flower/bud stamp is available from Kaszazz - Flowering Gum Un-cut Set (3 stamps) and it complemented the paper beautifully. I have designed this card for ladies I lead at local community group on Fridays. This is called a diorama card - I headed to Google and searched.  There are many sites and videos out there that provide information on how to make them.  Jennifer McGuire has information - just click on her name to discover her wonderful cards made using this fancy fold. All stamps (except for the greeting stamps) are from Kaszazz. For my card I attached a little 3" square card to the back - this also provides and easel if the recipient wants to display card as well as the sender writing their special greetings. By the way, I did also Google "colours of turtles" and found there was a rainbow turtle - so that is what I went with on my card - lots of opportunities for the ladies to use the coloured pencils. Here is a card I made to share with ladies at my card group at a local community group. The front - but wait until you see the layers of the card that follow:  The card opened shows 3 distinct layers,  The middle The greeting on final layer. One of the things that I find challenging is coming up with 2 cards each Friday for the ladies to make. This one was a hit.  I was inspired by a card I found whilst on blog surfing the card is called a Double Front Card and I want to give thanks to Lisa Curdo for the inspiration. I have used product from a few sources on this card - Mint Macaroon paper, Ink and ink markers from Stampin'Up! (r), Mandala stamp from Kaszazz and greetings from a free set of stamps in a magazine that I have long ago discarded.  I love how they all come together united by colour.
