Stamps Ahead

 Way back on 8th May, 2007 I started this blog.  It has been a journey of change and experiences that I never ever thought I would have.  Thank you to those who have read my blog and I hope there are still some out there who do.  For my 1,000th post my scrapbook layout is about change. Like the quote here, that I found on the internet - If I never changed from how I did things back in 2007 I would not have grown as an artist, teacher or indeed as a person. I have been retrenched (not the worst thing in the world as it turned out), travelled extensively, had my own business, worked in a call centre or two, went back into a financial role, left became a carer, and then working in China teaching English for a year. Moved to Central Coast of NSW.  Finally, retirement! Retirement - never!!  Not afraid of change!!  This week, I even started a Facebook group so that ladies in my classes can share what they have been doing and connect during the lockdown here ...

 Here is a layout I have created using all Kaszazz products available from Kaszazz.   I drew inspiration from a layout I created 3 days ago.  There is space for journalling on the tag and underneath the photo.  Spring is coming - my mini daffodils are blooming this morning and look top right the first freesia has arrived as well.  I was asked to make some cards for a very special person.  I selected 18th birthday cards one for a girl and one for a boy.  This is a long post with lots of photos so please enjoy.   This was the card for 18 year old young lady.  This card is not expected to be opened for some time therefore I designed a card that did not require any tape or glue.   This card uses all Kaszzaz product with the exception of the "18".  The papers are from Kaszazz Stellar collection and the greeting stamps are also from various collections in current Kaszazz catalogues.  A lot of gold embossing powder was used. The inside - as you can see the ribbon is threaded through and holds the 4 individual securely when closed.  These are the 4 individual greeting cards.  There is space on the back of each for personal greetings and messages.  Here is another 70th birthday card I have created for a longtime friend who celebrates her birthday in December. As soon as I saw this Kaszazz stamp - Scholar - I knew I had to purchase it to make her card.  Her career as a Secretary and typist started when we were both teenagers working for a major bank here in Australia.  The Happy Birthday stamp is also from Kaszazz Word Montage - Be Yourself.  The background has been coloured with Ranger Distress Inks. The card is sparkly, just does not show up in the photo as I sprayed it with pearlised water. Some sequins and stickers (both from my stash) completed the card.
