Christmas Markets Europe 2015

Image
Here is a layout I have completed with scenes from various Christmas Markets that we went to in December 2015.  We went to many more - these photos are just a few showing the colours and atmosphere of the markets. I have used a Page Maps sketch from Shop and Crop Scrapbooking . I like the layout as it allows you the opportunity to put many photos on the page.

Ultimation

Here is a layout I did for the "U" and underline challenge at Soul Scrappers , I wanted to use an unusual "U" word on my layout, so I headed to the internet and found "Ultimation" its definition is "process of bringing to a conclusion". Perfect - I found my word!!! Just right for this photograph (out of focus)  of the farewell dinner in Berlin for our Trafalgar Tour - Christmas Market Magic.  My sister and I made each person on our tour a little gift - a chocolate and tag and we gave them out at the dinner.  I have underlined my title with a word sticker and I have also underlined the date and the bottom quote .I am sure I will get lots of comments as people look through my album - what does that word mean!! Thanks for looking.  Margaret I love the quote on the left hand side below the photo - "The best journeys answer questions you didn't think to ask." Unknown.

Schonbrunn Castle - Strudelshow

In my last post I wrote about my prize winning photograph taken on Christmas Market Magic tour with Trafalgar in December, 2015.   Here is a double page layout I have done that incorporates that photo and more of the demonstration and morning tea that we had - Apple Strudel of course! The left hand page shows our demonstrator pulling the strudel pastry and finishing off the strudel. My sister got to fill and roll and the strudel.  Also we had morning tea with you guessed it - apple strudel.  I have popped the recipe behind you can just see the tab above my head.  The right hand layout tells the story of my prize winning photograph.  I have used papers from Basic Grey that I picked up from a local scrapbook store to complete the layout.  Thank you for looking, Margaret :)

Look what was delivered and why!!!

This box of goodies arrived on my doorstep on 20th January.  What was in the box? Why? First this is what was in the box - a gourmet box of wine and cheese and goodies. This is the why.  On my recent Trafalgar Tour - Christmas Market Magic which was co-run with Australian Better Homes and Gardens there was a photographic competition during our tour.  My photo of my sister taking part in an Apple Strudel demonstration at Schonbrunn Palace on 8th December won the "Simply the best holiday, moment or memory" category.  And the box of goodies was my prize.  Trafalgar commented "We thought it reflected our pillars that show the best memory or moment and your photo certainly captured the moment". Thank you Trafalgar and Better Homes and Gardens.  The box is heading to my sister, as I am a non-drinker and not really a cheese lover (well other than Cheddar and Tasty - boring I know).  It is only fair that it heads to her, as she was the subject o...
