Stamps Ahead

I have designed the following cards for local community group this week - I need to do early in the week so as to allow paper to sit for 72 hours before use.  The inspiration for the card fold came from love Cardmaking Australia magazine Issue 20, pages 70 and 72.  The card features a handmade flower made with a scallop punch and two small white flowers that I colored with Distress Oxide Spray.  Patterned papers are a very old Stampin' Up! range from my stash.  The card was large than a regular 15cm (6") square envelope so I made each of them an envelope to fit using my envelope punch board. For this card I was inspired by a card by Michelle Zindorf that I found on Pinterest , thank you Michelle for the inspiration.  What is not entirely evident is that I applied glitter glue to the dragonfly: Overnight, I had a change of plans!  I decided to ditch the painting, it would take time to dry as well participants would have to share paint and heat guns requiring...

I was asked to create a card for lady celebrating her 80th birthday.  I was told that chrysanthemum was her favourite flower and her birthday was in November. Here is the card and box envelope I have created: As can be seen in the photo below, there are many layers to the main flower. Interestingly, my google search revealed that the chrysanthemum is the birth flower for November.  I never knew that! This card uses supplies from a many sources: Kaszazz - Leaves embossing folder, papers, pearls and envelope punch board. Stamp and die from Altenew - Build -a-flower: Chrysanthemum Ranger Distress Inks: Spun Sugar, Tattered Rose, Victorian Velvet and Aged Mahogany for flower and Bundled Sage, Peeled Paint and Forest Moss for the leaves.   Spun Sugar and Bundled Sage were also 'smooched' onto background and box card. Advent Calendar 2013 for my sister This is an advent calender I have made this week for my sister - I am delivering it today to her home and it is a surprise for her. I have made each day from Stampin'Up! (r) Designer Series paper or used their Tag a Bag Gift Bags. The envelopes are made using Envelope Punch Board (of course, with the exception of the Sour Cream container for Day 9).  I have used a variety of embellishments (some not SU) to decorate each day. I did not have numbers that I liked so I searched the internet and found this free download of numbers which just matched the paper perfectly. Each day has a little gift inside (I spent no more than $3 on each gift and the hunt was on to find small items that I knew would mean something to her) and a Christmas saying I sourced from the Internet.  One bag has chocolate - I was very restrained - wasn't I !!!
