Blind Scrap challenge Hillbilly Scrappers

On Saturday night I participated in a Blind Scrap Challenge via video and here is layout I created during the blind scrap and another I made on Sunday.

This was the layout I completed during the blind scrap challenge video.  I used a favourite paper collection - Marigold from Kaisercraft. 
On Sunday, with the benefit of more time, I was able to listen again to video and I must confess, take some notes and I completed this layout.  This time I used 49 and Market Curators Botanical collection. 

My sister also participated and here is her layout 

For the challenge there was a mood board, and we were to use this to inspire us to use the colours indicated on the card and we were given instructions beforehand on cutting papers.  Look at all those circles in the photo!

Our first challenge is to use SU punches to make a paper flower and use it on a card, scrapbook page or 3D item. I have used the round scallop punch (each flower has 3 punched scallops), cut a small way into each scallop and then pushed back to create a 3-D effect then I added a rhinestone brad to the centre of each flower. I used my markers to colour the leaves and then spritzed with water before adding to card. Challenge 1 completed.

Ocean Beach - Summer 2016 - Shell in your pocket

This past week I went down to 'my' beaches - Ocean Beach to Umina Beach taking my Samsung Tablet with me as I wanted to take a panorama shot.  This is the view I have after I have walked just 100 steps from my front gate and up and over a small sand dune - I never tire of this view. I have completed this layout for a challenge over at ARTastic Challenge Blog .  The challenge was to be inspired by the following artwork  -Bondi Scene by Isabelle May Tweddle. The criteria was Summer. Some particulars - I have raised the main photo with foam tape - both the photo and the corrugated blue mount. In real life it gives the impression of raising above the sand image on the patterned paper. I have used paper, stickers and die cuts from Kaisercraft Sandy Toes collection and scattered hessian twine, pearls and sparkles randomly.
