Travel Journal

I have started on making a travel journal - my sister and I are cruising (twice) later in the year and I think this will fit the bill nicely for recording travel experiences for these journeys.

Cover - using Stamperia Art of Travelling collection.  The chipboard from Hillbilly Shenanigans I only inked the bottom half with Distress Oxide Vintage Photo.  For the closure I used some of my tea-dyed calico that I cut into strips approx. 3/4".
Close up of the chipboard.
Opening the cover - on the left is a large pocket and a small pocket that I created with the suitcase I fussy cut.  The pocket can hold tags and even say journey information.  On the right is a covered Art by Marlene (ABM) notebook and I will decorate pages later -
This shows the attached note book - I have not sewn it into the cover as I want to be able to remove it as I continue embellishing the and recording travel experiences. I first used some more of my ribbon to tie the book to the spine however I have ditched that idea and now have some hat elastic for ease of use.  This is a work in progress. Also doing it this way means I can add addition signatures if I require it.

I found this on the internet (Travelling Gossip) and I will write it in my journal: "Embarking on a cruise is more than just a vacation; it's an adventure into the vastness of the sea, an exploration of distant shores, and a journey into the heart of unforgettable experiences.  Whether you're gazing at the horizon from the deck, discovering new cultures, or simply enjoying the ocean breeze, every moment offers a story to be told."

Thank you for looking, Margaret
