Just Smile............that's me!

This photograph has come out much lighter than in real life - camera must be reacting to all the cold weather we are having here in Australia at present!!!   That is my excuse and I am sticking with it!!!
I was inspired by a layout from 2012 by Veronica Goh - thank you Veronica I have left some love on her page.   I just loved the simple title (Veronica's was Just Breathe) and the distressing. 
Recently, I have been inspired by the Butterfly die I have used it here.  I like the size of it - not too big and not too small.  The patterned papers I have used are from Kaisercraft Tea Break range and I also used their brick stencil unto which I dabbed some ink and highlighted with marking pen.
The circle with arrow and "remember this" I found here free download - lots of cute sayings in the round.
The photograph was taken many years ago when I did a photography course - you can see my old camera bottom left of the photo - I loved that camera.

Hi Margaret. I love your take on my layout. That is a great photo, and I love the butterfly die you used, as well as that flower made from the same beautiful papers! So glad to have been an inspiration!

January Cyberchallenge - punched flowers.

Images:(c)1990-2010 Stampin'Up(r) Artwork:Margaret L Crawford Our INKlings cyberchallenges have began for 2010. Tonight our leader, Jayne is setting the challenges. Our first challenge is to use SU punches to make a paper flower and use it on a card, scrapbook page or 3D item. I have used the round scallop punch (each flower has 3 punched scallops), cut a small way into each scallop and then pushed back to create a 3-D effect then I added a rhinestone brad to the centre of each flower. I used my markers to colour the leaves and then spritzed with water before adding to card. Challenge 1 completed.

Time stands still

Here is another layout I have created recently.  I have decided to post it for a challenge at ARTastic - I hope they allow more than one entry as I have already done one layout for their May challenge - Scrap the Girls. This photo was taken when I met up with friends that I attended TAFE with many years ago.  We completed the Advanced Needlecraft Certificate at Hornsby TAFE and became firm friends during this time.   But as life goes on we lost contact - until Facebook got us back together 20 years later!..  They caught the train up and we had lunch and much catch up at my home before a walk on the beach.   Again here is the inspiration photo at ARTastic, the criteria Girls Only. I was further inspired by a layout by Emily Pitt found on   Debbie Hodge  from 2013 that I found whilst blog surfing. Thank you Debbie I have left some thanks for you on your blog.
