A challenge I have set myself

In my Pinterest feed I have been getting lots of prompts regarding 100 day challenges, 30 day challenges and even 1 year long challenges.  You know the ones where you post each day!! Well, I set myself a challenge create something each day that can be used in my junk journals - no prompts, no guidelines. I am not including the cards I create for classes - but leftovers may appear at some stage.

Day1 - using paperclip to create a small holder for and even smaller notebook.  Size is 6mm x 6.5mm. I also challenged myself to use what I have on my table at the time.
Show the reverse, with paper clip glued in and small notebook that can slide into the pocket.
Day 2 - folded pocket from one sheet of paper with tags inserted. Finished size 10mm x 7.5mm. See the compass and back tag - they came from a 2004 Stampin' Up! kit  - amazing what I find that I have saved! 
The tags up close and personal that I slipped into the pockets.

I am not setting myself a target - I may last just a few days or longer.  I think if I keep my items small I will be able to fit into my day somewhere!

January Cyberchallenge - punched flowers.

Our first challenge is to use SU punches to make a paper flower and use it on a card, scrapbook page or 3D item. I have used the round scallop punch (each flower has 3 punched scallops), cut a small way into each scallop and then pushed back to create a 3-D effect then I added a rhinestone brad to the centre of each flower. I used my markers to colour the leaves and then spritzed with water before adding to card. Challenge 1 completed.

The trees were black sentries.

The challenge over at ARTastic Challenges , this month,  is to be inspired by this work by Barbara Hanrahan called The Dog, The Cat.  Criteria was to use a quote or saying. This month at Book Club we were to read a book with a one word title.  I knew in my book collection I had just such a book and so I read "therapy" by Jonathon Kellerman.  A psychological mystery. I was reading Chapter 22, when I saw the quote on my layout - instantly it reminded me of the photos I took on Christmas Day 2014 of Umina Beach, the time was 8.30am.  I then saw this challenge - the mind clicked into gear "that's how I can capture the feeling of this day.
