Thank you received

Image
When I stamp/scrapbook I always have scraps of paper left over, what I do is punch out shapes and give them to places that could use them.  Just recently, I gave a bag full to a friend, who works at a pre-school for the children to use.  Here is the thank you and book I received from them.   The little blue book is full of drawings that they made for me. And I love that it is to "The lady who gave us all the stuff to stick down".  It is already something I will treasure for ever.   Thanks for looking.   Margaret

Fresh Retro

Image
An on-line dictionary defines "Retro" as involving, relating to, or reminiscent of things past, retrospective. And quotes NY Times "As is often the case in retro fashion, historical accuracy is somewhat beside the point." This is a layout I have done for a challenge to use Stampin'Up! (r) Retro Fresh products. I was inspired by a layout in Scrapbook, etc magazine 2008 (so in itself it could be called retro - is 6 years too early for Retro?). I have used Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper/Washi Tape/Designer Journaling Tags.  I have used a circle stamp from Postage Collection Stamp Set.  Also you can see current in-colour markers, Baked Brown Sugar ribbon and Boutique Details buttons. This photograph of me was taken in 1982 when I visited Hong Kong, and I was just returning from Jumbo Restaurant and was snapped by a professional, the photograph also ended up on a small plate that I still have. I loved that dress - it was all floaty and feminine and that is

Birthday card

Image
A friend who is doing it tough at present, is having a birthday this coming week, here is the card I created for her.  The next photo shows the card opened a "wee" bit more - yes this is a Scottish reference. I have used Stampin'Up! (r) Thinlets Circle Card die to create the card base, scallop and greeting, some Watercolour Wonder Designer Series Paper, Crisp Cantalope Classic Ink and a bit of bling.  The greeting is from a Hostess set caled Express Yourself - a set of 12 greetings. Still having problems with photo editing, looks like I will have to delete and reload - uggh.   Thanks for looking.  Margaret
