Memories of Eze

I am enjoying the challenges over at Scrapbook Challenges as I have a lot of my Europe photos yet to scrapbook and it is great to get inspiration. One of the highlight places my sister and I visited was the medieval village of Eze in Southern France. At the top of the town, perched high on top of mountains, there is a cactus and sculpture garden. It was a delight to wander around and this layout shows three of the many sculptures there. One was called Margot and of course I had to pose just like her as soon as I saw it. Now, I only like being called Margaret but Margot was close enough!!! And look at that blue sky it was a beautiful day. The paper and embellishments are webster's pages and the alphas are Kaisercraft. Thank you for looking.

Bonne Annee (Happy New Year)

Bonne Anne is French for Happy New Year. On 1st January, we were in Paris. We started the day at the Paris Flea Markets - alas as it was the 1st day of the year most of the stands did not open and there was not many people around (getting over the night before maybe), nevertheless we had a great time wandering those that were open. We then made our way to Sacre Couer in time for lunch at a restaurant with this view. We made our way the hill to explore and of course there were Christmas markets to view. This is where the people were - it was crowded, crowded and did I say crowded. Then a walk and a spot of window gazing and souvenir shopping around Montmarte before late in the afternoon heading off to find dinner. I was inspired by a challenge over at Scrapbook Challenges to finish this layout. Notice the little spots of red and blue to tie in our coats. I used an old Stampin'Up! kit that has been in my stash for years to make this layout.

Scrapbooking Europe

Yippee, my camera has returned from its time in repair. Time to show you some pages I have done whilst it was away. I do not like this photo, taken in a horse and carriage in Vienna. My eyes are closed and there is glare on my glasses. When I got the photo developed, whilst we were staying in Vence, France my sister said "but you are beautiful on the inside". Well, we then said that whenever we saw a photo of us that we did not like. I found a challenge over at scrapbook challenges and this layout was inspired by the digital to paper layout displayed there - reverse scrapping.

For this page I was inspired by a layout in a magazine, sorry I do not have the details.

This photo was taken in the Bavarian Alps. It was a very mild winter when we were there and whilst we were expecting snow in a lot of places that we visited, it was not to be. This photo was taken on the panoramic Rossfield Road. It was full of amazing views and lots of snow.

Scrapbooking in action

My good camera is still being looked after by Nikon repairs, so these photos from my mobile phone show me doing some recent scrapbooking.

I have been making 6"x 6" scrapbook pages to be given to an organisation that runs camps for kids. On this day my sister and a friend came to my place to help me. My friend had never scrapbooked before and she really enjoyed creating her pages. This week, I am heading to a local craft group and they will also be helping to make more pages. I would also like to thank my friends who gave me some of their excess supplies and this has helped to make many pages that will be handed over at the end of the month.
