You may see a difference

After much consideration, I have decided not to continue as a Stampin'Up!(r) demonstrator, but I will still be creating - I will never stop that - and will still post to my blog. I look forward to sharing more creations with you shortly. Thank you for stopping by, Margaret

2nd challenge - colour challenge

Image
Front Inside Images:(c)1990-2010 Stampin'Up!(r) Artwork: Margaret L Crawford Our 2nd challenge was to use the colours found in the image at http://www.alfrescoemporium.com.au/scripts/viewListImage.asp?l=2008&swap=0 to create a card. Well this is really a challenge for me, as I do not usually use these colours - I have left off one of the colours and just went for the blue and green. In SU language these colours are from the Bold Brights. Behind the pierced line on the front of the card I have put a piece of cardstock and continued the greeting on the inside.

January Cyberchallenge - punched flowers.

Image
Images:(c)1990-2010 Stampin'Up(r) Artwork:Margaret L Crawford Our INKlings cyberchallenges have began for 2010. Tonight our leader, Jayne is setting the challenges. Our first challenge is to use SU punches to make a paper flower and use it on a card, scrapbook page or 3D item. I have used the round scallop punch (each flower has 3 punched scallops), cut a small way into each scallop and then pushed back to create a 3-D effect then I added a rhinestone brad to the centre of each flower. I used my markers to colour the leaves and then spritzed with water before adding to card. Challenge 1 completed.

Happy Birthday Heather

I have seen this type of step card on several blogs - it is not new, but I loved the 3-D effect that the accordion folds give. I have used various techniques - watercolour paper flowers, flowers from Pretties kit, punched flowers, rhinestone brads, a stamped die-cuts andrub-ons that are not now available from Stampin'Up! but they suited the card just right. She can remove all the elements and put onto a scrapbook page later if she wants to. Happy birthday, Heather and enjoy the year ahead. It is going to be a hot day in Sydney today - so keep cool all, I am headed out to brunch later for Heather's birthday.

Embossed Waratahs

Image
Images:(c)1990-2010Stampin'Up!(r) Artwork: Margaret L Crawford The waratah (Telopea speciosissimai) is the state flower of New South Wales. I have gold embossed, using Versamark to stamp the image, the waratah from Bloom Away set and watercoloured the main flower image. This was a quick card to put together. Enjoy.

Challenge 2 - Good works

Image
Images:(c)1990-2010 Stampin'Up!(r) Artwork:Margaret L Crawford Rhonda's 2nd challenge was to create a card or project with a set that evokes a sense of caring/ thoughtfulness/ love. This card is for a friend who is heading to Mombassa, Kenya for a month and has volunteered to work in an orphanage. I love the quote by Mother Teresa just seemed right.

Friends - all dressed up

Image
Images:(c)1990-2010 Stampin'Up!(r) Artwork:Margaret L Crawford Rhonda's 3rd challenge tonight was a blind challenge - you get one step at a time and you intrepret with your own paper etc. The little boxes hold my journalling. Now this photograph is about 20 years old (yes, I have permed hair - those were the days) and we were all dressed up for an awards night at the Hotel Nikko in Sydney - no longer there. My sister (2nd right) got an award and I (1st left) went as her guest. This photo in itself was a challenge to scrap as we were all wearing different colours.

Cheeky Monkey

Image
Images:(c)1990-2010 Stampin'Up!(r) Artwork:Margaret L Crawford Over at Elite Stampers Rhonda is setting some challenges tonight. The first challenge - Easter Just for Fun - create a card or project using current Easter inspired stamp set. Now I do not own Sock Monkey and accessories stamp sets, but when I was in US in June, I did stamp up some images - thank you Dianne. Whilst making this I kept saying to myself Cheeky Monkey, and of course it is just for fun. I added a little texture to the monkey by roughing up his mitt. I coloured two easter baskets and added a pop up glue dot for added dimension.

Christmas Day Scrapbooking Challenge entry

Image
Images:(c)1990-2010 Stampin'Up!(r) Artwork:Margaret L Crawford Here I am on Christmas Day relaxing. My sister printed out this photo into A4 size. I have used flowers and rhinestone brad from Pretties Kit for embellishment, together with a circle of the paper that matches the scallop and strip of paper from Urban Garden DSP, and the greeting comes from stamp set Good Cheer. Check out the challenge set by Stampamemory here.
