I've been scrapbooking (and even made some cards)

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to spend most of the day creating.  Here are some pages I have created for challenges over at Soul Scrappers:
This was for challenge CC44 - where we were required to make 3 cards with frames as the main feature. I have called my collection - "Variations on a theme".  I have used Sizzix Photo Frame Die, and Stampin'Up! (r) word dies (never used before and now retired), their beautiful Butterly Die and cardstock.  The patterned paper is from the a range by Inspired by Stamping.

Next is a layout for their MYC19 challenge - Picnic (indoor or outdoor). One beautiful day earlier this year my sister and I decided to pack an impromptu picnic and head to beach for lunch.  Time to relax - just read, walk, and photograph.  Looking forward to more warmer weather shortly after a very cold winter here in Australia.
MYC19 - Picnic at Killcare Beach
The next layout was for Challenge FS2S8 Surf's Up challenge. For this one I went for a double page layout with the photos taken on the same day as our picnic above.   For this challenge we were to be inspired by the movie poster for 'Surf's Up" (see below)
FS2S8 - Surf & Sun Killcare beach
There was added criteria - use blue and yellow on  your layout, add a bird/s (seagull, penquin, chook!), blue and yellow title and beach themed (add sand, see or anything beachy). I am sure I fulfilled all the required elements for the beachy theme I went with some Quick Quotes Scrapbook Co. paper from their Be Bold range, that I fussy cut as I loved that it represented waves and the arrow is all tropical, and I used glitter alphas that have the feel of sand (and not to mention - now glitter everywhere).  I had fun doing this layout.
Their next challenge was UUS (Using Up Scraps) 20 and the challenge was to use old Die Cuts.  Well, I rummaged around in my supplies and found ones that were suitable to use on this layout of Greenfield Village at The Henry Ford Museum in Detroit, Michigan.   I even found a Henry Ford quote in the same colours!!

My day was finished with an Elvis Presley tribute show at a local club in the evening, what a fun show much singing and bopping along.  Love me some Elvis - and I did not take photos - what!!! Too busy clapping along to the music.

Thanks for looking, Margaret. :)
