Next weekend I am hosting an afternoon tea and it is time to get out the 'good cups and saucers" aka Royal Albert crazy sets; the fabric napkins; the cake forks; the best table cloth and china. I have made a table favour for each person, to take away with them:
Here are all the elements for the favours - each person will get two of the quotes.
Thank you for looking - here are the quotes I used. Off to have a cup of tea myself now. Have a great week. Margaret :)
- "There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea." Henry James, 'The Portrait of a Lady'
- "If you are cold, tea will warm you; if you are too heated, it will cool you; If you are depressed, it will cheer you; If you are excited it will calm you." William Ewart Gladstone
- "There is something in the nature of tea that leads us into a world of quiet contemplation of life." Lin Yutang, 'The Importance of Living.'
- "May you always have walls for the winds, a roof for the rain, tea beside the fire, laughter to cheer you, those you love near you, and all your heart might desire." An Irish Blessing.
