Journey Album 2024

I was fortunate that I had several overseas travel destinations in 2024.  I have lots of travel papers and embellishments in my stash - time to use up some of them.  I decided to make an accordion journal.

It was so much fun to do.  I made the tie, earlier in the year, just right for this journal. Following are photos of the album.

This flip out will be for me to list the places I visited this year - South Pacific Cruise, another South Pacific Cruise that did not make it to South Pacific due to weather but did go to Airlie Beach and Cairns. I also visited friends in Missouri and Florida in USA.  Finally, I met up with my sister in London UK (she was also travelling) and together we had a car journey around UK, Scotland and Wales.  I put several photos my travel in this journal.
This tag was a photo a sign in Florida when I was overwhelmed with the number of Alligators I saw.  On the back of this tag is room for me to record the Alligator sightings.
Thank you to my sister, Heather; Royal Caribbean cabin buddies; friends Laura and Jason; Carol and David: Kathy and Bob and others I met on my journeys.

Ocean Beach - Summer 2016 - Shell in your pocket

This past week I went down to 'my' beaches - Ocean Beach to Umina Beach taking my Samsung Tablet with me as I wanted to take a panorama shot.  This is the view I have after I have walked just 100 steps from my front gate and up and over a small sand dune - I never tire of this view. I have completed this layout for a challenge over at ARTastic Challenge Blog .  The challenge was to be inspired by the following artwork  -Bondi Scene by Isabelle May Tweddle. The criteria was Summer. Some particulars - I have raised the main photo with foam tape - both the photo and the corrugated blue mount. In real life it gives the impression of raising above the sand image on the patterned paper. I have used paper, stickers and die cuts from Kaisercraft Sandy Toes collection and scattered hessian twine, pearls and sparkles randomly. January Cyberchallenge - punched flowers.

Our first challenge is to use SU punches to make a paper flower and use it on a card, scrapbook page or 3D item. I have used the round scallop punch (each flower has 3 punched scallops), cut a small way into each scallop and then pushed back to create a 3-D effect then I added a rhinestone brad to the centre of each flower. I used my markers to colour the leaves and then spritzed with water before adding to card. Challenge 1 completed.
