Scrapbooking Serendipity

Image
Images: (c) 1990-2009 Stampin'Up! (r) Artwork: Margaret L Crawford Serendipity - good luck in making unexpected and fortunate discoveries I have been catching up on on scrapbooking this weekend. I came across this photo of me taking in a Tasmanian sunset in 1995 (no I am not that far behind!!). The stamp says - A perfect moment is Serendipity. I thought about the embellishments to use with this photo and in the end I just went with simple - the photo is the main focus. I hope you enjoy this sunset and perfect moment in time. The serendipity - the sunset, rediscovering the photo in files and finding just the right quotation.

Engagement card

Images: (c) 1990-2009 Stampin'Up! (r) Artwork: Margaret L Crawford I am off to an engagement party this afternoon. Here is a card and envelope I made for the happy couple. They use all retiring SU products but for the little heart embellishments that I found in my 'stash' of goodies collected over the years.

Scrapbooking the every day

Images: (c) 1990-2009 Stampin'Up Artwork: Margaret L Crawford This page was inspired by a layout I saw in Creating Keepsake magazine of June 08 "Do you have a pair of shoes that reminds you of a certain time in your life?" I purchased my walkers (I do not call them "joggers" as I have never jogged in my life!). These shoes were purchased at a Ross Dress for Less somewhere in the United States a few years ago. I loved the colour, I loved the price and I love the little bit of glitter they had. If they could talk they would tell you about the hills, mountains, streets, lanes, paths they have traversed. They finally called it a day in China this January - well worn and well loved. Scrapbooking does not always have to be about people, why not scrap the everyday and the memories they create.

A welcome to your new home card.

The great outdoors in NSW

Image
This last weekend, my sister was invited to a wedding in Wellington NSW. We left late Thursday afternoon and headed to Blue Mountains for the night. In the morning, a short early morning walk to Sublime Point at Leura. You get fantastic views of The3 Sisters from this lookout and without the crowds at Echo Point.. And the mist/clouds rose up the mountains it was a fantastic site. Next we headed for Wellington and as Heather attended the wedding, on Saturday morning, I went for a drive in the country around Wellington. Some great photos of cattle, sheep and countryside. After the wedding we headed for Mudgee and again the mist below the mountains was inspiring. Enjoy beautiful NSW. A great weekend out in the great outdoors.

March Cyberchallenge

Images: (c) 1990 -2009 Stampin'Up! (r) Artwork: Margaret L Crawford Kari, set the challenges for this months The INKlings Cyberchallenge. Her first challenge was to use green or anything Irish - what with St Patrick's Day this month. My grandfather, Henry Crawford (1890-1976) was born in Ireland and came to Australia as a very young man. This page shows him on his wedding day in 1917. I decided to retain the original mount (that shows Grace Bros, Sydney) hence the aged look of the mount. I used the colour green in the paper and embellishments from the Secret Garden Simply Scrappin' kit. This kit is retiring this month from SU.

Some cards for friends

Images: (c) 1990-2009 Stampin'Up! (r) Artwork: Margaret L Crawford It seems just like yesterday, that we were all celebrating our 21st birthdays, now we are celebrating retirements. Thanks to Jayne for lending me the 'Loads of Love' stamp set. Looking for inspiration for this card I came across a card by Cheryl and I liked the idea of the greeting flying from the back.
